Today marks 100 years of our memorial hall. Please join with us today in thinking of those servicemen in whose memory it was built, and of those villagers who for 100 years have come together inside the old hall and the new one, and had a really good time. We will be back there soon!
Thanks to all those who worked and continue to work so hard to build and rebuild, maintain and entertain, sometimes passing this work on down through the family for generations, supporting their neighbours and the hall, and welcoming newcomers. If you are new to the village, or have lived here for years and simply have never been in the new hall, we would love to see you at one of our events or clubs. (If there isn’t one you like, how about talking to us about setting one up yourself?)
Thanks to all of you who turn up to events, and to those who work to make them happen. We depend on all of you, and your families, for the next one hundred years. The hall may change in ways we cannot yet imagine, but we hope it will always remain a central focus of life for our villages.
