The Italian Evening on Friday evening was a resounding success . We ate ourselves silly on delicious locally-produced, Italian-themed food. We were entertained by the talk and slides by William Dell’Orefice of William’s Kitchen, (Cucina di William), about the production of oil and artisanal Italian food produced on a small family farm in Abruzzo, Italy.
We were especially delighted to see our own chef, Ian Cumming, produce fragrant home made pasta (tagliatelle) and fresh pesto before our eyes. Delicious!
Ruth Sinclair added greatly to the evening by providing a challenging Italian Quiz . Not easy (for some of us anyway!)
Not only did we have a great evening , a sum of £1050 was made which will go to the Play Area Fence appeal.
Emma has thanked all those who contributed to the evening in one way or another, but a great thank you must go to Emma herself who has put the creative energy and organisation into another memorable Wilbrahams’ event.
