Dangerous Corner, by JB Priestley – October 23rd – 26th.
St John’s Players’ next performance is the classic JB Priestley play Dangerous Corner.
All seems well at Caplan’s independent publishing house until a can of worms is unceremoniously ripped open at Robert and Freda Caplan’s dinner party. A chance remark plunges the guests into a re-examination of the mysterious events surrounding the recent death of young Martin Caplan and skeletons coming crashing out of the closet – in more ways than one. Life will never be the same again – or will it?
Dangerous Corner was Priestley’s first sole work for theatre, but demonstrates the trademarks of his writing, with interesting characters and intriguing situations providing suspense, drama and a unique time twist that has helped the play achieve lasting popularity.
The play will be staged at the Townley Centre, Fulbourn, at 7:30pm, Wednesday 23rd to Saturday 26th October. Tickets are £8 (£7 concessions and groups) plus booking fee from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/stjohnsplayers
